First ENORMOUSLY LONG issue of the English Music Charts Column. See who's on the list, and what's their current status. The focus of the column - the bands. See who you're up against. Cupcake Substitution holds the #3, bronze position on the Pop charts. GOD SMACKING and GOD SMACKINGLY GLORIOUS takeover of cities during their double tour is something other Pop bands shouldn't take lightly. They are the #30 band on the chart of 100 best global bands, and this isn't the first time they're travelling up to the top 10 WiW list. The French consider them the top 2 band in the whole of France but needless to say, Pop fans still think they deserve number 1. Their newest single "Live Another Chance" sold over 4.4M copies, and the ladies are already preparing for a new record.
GoDivA graces the #19 of the Pop charts. Currently on a double sold out tour with an average of revolutionary performances, this redhead diva isn't a stranger to receiving radio royalties, and her newest single "LOVE" made sure she didn't forget how it feels. The single sold over 1M in the first week of sales. #TeamUSA considers GoDiva to be #33, but American hard die Pop fans think she deserves #5. Surely, this lady could get to #1 in the future? Hojna takes the love seat at #33. This band obviously holds Jessie Malone as their idol. Those who don't know about Jessie Malone, well you are either too young to know, or you never took an interest in Pop. Mother and daughter are currently touring with a few booked stadiums shows ahead. They were last seen in the recording studio which probably means they will soon launch a new single, since their fans are already lurking in the record stores, waiting. But until that happens, they will have to be satisfied with their newest album "The best of Hojna: #26" which was reviewed as GOD SMACKINGLY GLORIOUS! Hojna takes the "unlucky" #13 on the Swedish charts and the Pop fans in that country consider the band to be their #4. Powerline has powered up and landed on #39. This solo artist recently had some great career breakthroughs. The single "I Want To Love You" went platinum by selling over 2M copies, and the song "#FeelMeUpFriday", from the same single, blasted into the top-10 radio charts. The artist is currently on a double tour, with a nice mixture of revolutionary and mind melting gigs, safely selling the shows out inch by inch. Powerline is in the top-10 of the USA Pop charts, taking the #8 place. Turtle & Kangaroo jumped in slow motion to the #50 position in the Pop charts. From mind melting shows, the band is currently revolutionary on stage. The latest perfect single "#7 The Hero Crab" hasn't pushed the band onto the radio charts, but considering the duo is turning to the media in each city, that could happen somewhere in the near future. How can I even claim that? Simply, China is mad about them! Turtle & Kangaroo hold the #2 position on the Chinese Pop chart. Touching Fire is a female duo rocking #240 on the charts. The band is currently on a short break from touring, but the latest performances were reviewed as incredible. The band recently threw an uber-expensive party to celebrate the release of their perfect single "Whatever" which sold almost 700k copies. The band was last seen at the set, rehearsing the roles for their upcoming music video whose name still remains a secret. American fans are pushing the band up their Pop charts, and have placed them at #35. For now. Seth Cohen, a solo band, is at #302 in the Pop charts. The lead singer and dancer took control of his career not that long ago, but the path to the top in the second most crowded genre is more than obvious. Even if still playing popular hits of other artists, Cohen pulls off wonderful gig reviews in whichever city he plays at. The singer had his first single published a while back. He was last seen wandering around with a notepad and humming some tunes while striking dance moves, obviously in a creative spirit to compose new material, and the fans are eagerly waiting to hear it. Gossip Girl, a very, VERY fresh Pop all-female band with three singers and dancers, is residing at the #739 ranking. They have only three concerts behind them with an average score of nice, and an entire tour booked ahead. No records available, so this will be a fun band to follow and see their path to stardom. From their beginnings to, I hope, the top. By The Flying Gumby. Published under Column, Music. Article ID 105106 Comments are closed.
