You've known Madalynne Alvarez as one half of the pop-duo Touching Fire, you've known her as one of the faces of Phoenix Modeling and Gotham's Empire, and you've known her as one of the judges in the Casper-Knox Modeling Foundation. Now you'll know her as a solo pop-R&B artist. In the interim between Touching Fire's freshman and sophomore outings, Alvarez found time for side projects working with different producers to create new sounds, lending her voice to commercials, and even movie soundtracks. It was during this time she found a sound that she liked and wanted to cultivate.
While completing their second album, Alvarez and her Touching Fire partner, Avery Parsons, discussed the different directions their lives were taking. Rather than find someone to replace Parsons, Alvarez chose instead to take her sound in a new direction by herself. A source close to the singer states that she has been hard at work in both the recording and dance studios, preparing for her solo debut. Tickets go on sale this weekend for her Breakout Tour.
