Rio during the Big Bang is no stranger to parties, and Siren Call Records hosted one hell of a fiesta to celebrate the gathering of all their acts participating in The Bigger Bang Tour. Drinks were flowing, music was pounding, and the dance floor was throbbing. Sights and sounds around the party ranged from calm to chaotic... Nadia McLoughlin of Wild North was the first hit of the party, singing 'Can't Touch This,' while dancing on top of a table. When her husband pulled her down, she just climbed up on the next table. Eventually her husband gave up and sat down with his sister and rocker brother-in-law, Ar Moorehouse. Moorehouse and his wife Darcy were the quietest couple of the night, canoodling in the corner until trying to discreetly sneak away later. Elyse Hawkins of the Magnetic Roses caused quite a stir. Rather, her admirer did. At one point during the night, the zealous fan that had been following her around all night took over the DJ booth, proclaiming his love for her with a sappy love song from the decade of big hair and denim everything playing in the background. His confession culminated in an impassioned marriage proposal, the answer to which we never got a chance to hear, as the man had the microphone stolen from him by Mona Lisa Grin singer, Hope Baklanov. Deemed by her bandmates - husband Josh and stepbrother Ricky (Animal) - as the 'Worst Rapper in the Universe,' Baklanov didn't care as she hit up the DJ for a beat. Making up an impromptu rap about the groupie's proposal, then teasing her brother (Moorehouse) as he tried to slip out of the party with his wife. Simulataneously booed and cheered for her rhymes, Baklanov laughed and got the party back on track after the awkward proposal. The largest drama of the night surrounded youngest reveler on the Siren Call roster: Madalynne Urban of up-and-coming pop group Touching Fire. It should be noted that Urban's parents and founders of Siren Call Records, Richard and Sénia of Angels of Hellfire, left the party fairly early, leaving the youngest Urban free to rave unsupervised. Not-so-little-anymore Urban, also a model with Phoenix Modeling and A&E House of Fashion, was spotted on the arms of fellow models and professional party boys Casper Lyn and Knox Zorgani. The trio drank, danced, and got frisky on the dance floor for most of the night, getting particularly risqué when the DJ played "3" by Britney Spears. Shortly after is when the fight broke out. The exact details are not yet completely clear, but rumor has it that the young man who threw the first punch is Urban's ex-boyfriend. Witnesses state that a man had been pursuing Urban the entire night, even attempting to break onto her trio dance with Lyn and Zorgani. Once she was alone, he grew more aggressive, despite being turned down and warned by security. The alleged ex-boyfriend came out of nowhere, punching the enamored man directly in the face, and disappeared with Urban in the midst of the ensuing scuffle. The second man was removed by security. One thing is for certain: Only five cities into tour, the roster seems primed for excitement and surprises. Stay tuned as we follow Angels of Hellfire, Hellfire & Damnation, Touching Fire, S-N-L, Ar Moorehouse, Open///Close, Mona Lisa Grin, The Magnetic Roses, Wild North, and Dual Seduction around the world to bring you The Bigger Bang.
